Happy December!!
Hope you have been enjoying the Holiday season and the froggy weather (bleh!!)
Our holiday was lit up with furry farm friends. Benny learned how to efficiently open presents. He has more toys now than all of our pets combined! He is such a clepto; I have started putting his toys on tables and counters so when he is feeling ornery, he “steals” his toy (instead of our stuff) and he thinks he’s’ getting away with something : )
Alvin has started (ever so slightly) to warm up to Benny, and snuggled more this week than he has in awhile. And Simon, oh Simon!!!, went for a Christmas Eve hike with us, all around the property. We spent Christmas Day at my parents, where all the animals (and us) get lots of adoration and love.
THE FARMER has been very busy despite it being the “off” season. Lots of farm planning and summer dreaming. Seeds are nearly all ordered and now I am settling into office mode–although it has been difficult as there is still much to do outside and with no snow and warm weather, I find myself out more than in (and whishing there was an elf inside working QuickBooks).
FARM NOTES: we are hiring! If you know of a hard working individual who loves to be outside and get dirty, send them our way!!! We are looking for a part timer to run our Customizable bagged CSA program; they will do a bit of computer work, customer interfacing, harvesting, bag packing, delivery and more!
