Harvest – Harvest – Harvest!!  It’s that time of year where that is the major daily task.  After next week’s last summer share pick up, we will really dive into harvesting storage crops; beets, carrots, cabbage …. Now that the rain has stopped a bit and the sun has shone, harvesting has been PURE JOY.  Today’s cauliflower is stunning and the sweet peppers are like glowing candy apples.  Purples, whites, blues, reds; Mother Nature’s palette outshines any crayon box!

The hoop house is filling up with succulent greens for the Fall & Winter Shares!  We are limiting them this year, be sure to reserve yours NOW.  It will be full of sweet roots and cabbage chocked with vitamin C — the perfect way to stay healthy and mentally happy during the darker months.

Benny was neutered yesterday!  He is getting used to his cone and forced relaxation.  You may not see him at pick up this week, but he should be near healed next week.  Luckily he is a very sweet patient and doesn’t seem to be too mad at us, just a wee bit confused.

We hope you have been enjoying the glorious days October has brought us.  be sure to check out and share recipes and cooking ideas on our group facebook page Eating Seasonally with Little Ridge Farm.  See you soon!
