Harvesting Carrots
This simple yet affective undercutter tool has been one of my favorite buys. We use it to “undercut” deep roots (parsnips, carrots, garlic, sweet potatoes…) which loosens the soil and allows us to easily pull the root from the ground. We used to do it all by hand, with a digging fork, which took waaaaay longer and always made ones leg feel longer than the other after stepping the fork into the ground a thousand times. My mighty (but not too mighty) tractor can just pull it through the soil and wet soil makes it harder, but alas, today the soil was dust dry, so no problemo.

Flower picking princess
I hope you have been enjoying the flower garden!! The bright colors have been a happy sight both in and out of our home. The ducks like it in there too, shaded among the petals and snacks right at their feet.
