Making New Friends

50 baby turkeys arrived at the farm last week and the ducks are smitten…well, curious at least, and they are taking a liking to hanging out in the barn with them. There is a lot of “peep, peep, peeping” going on : )

Journey to the Beaver Pond

We took advantage of the sweet rain (hooray!!!) and cooler weather (hoorah!!) and had a little family walk this weekend; Simon, LePeep, Frieda, Caroline, Zach and myself. We went about a half mile from the house to a beaver pond that is at the boarder of our property. Simon stepped right in as usual and swam around, the ducks, however were a little nervous in the big duck pond. We wondered if they would go nuts and maybe even make it difficult to get them to come home, but they stayed right close to shore and popped out as soon as we turned to head back. I guess they love us : )

Sweet Ann Marie of New Moon Cottage

My friend, Ann Marie, rented some greenhouse space from me this spring to start her flower farm. The above photo is of her first flower CSA, so exciting!! She is a talent and full of love, so happy for her!

Our PYO flower garden opens this week!!! A beautiful perk for joining our CSA.

This Week’s Bounty: lettuce, beets with greens, chard, broccoli, scallions, chinese cabbage, hakurei (I have to check on them still), garlic scapes, bouquet dill
